6207 - Six Sigma Ranch and Winery, Lower Lake Six Sigma Ranch & Winery is a great example of some of the typical architectural work we do here at Ruzicka Associates. We were asked by our client to design a building that has the old country charm of a working ranch with all the modern amenities and facilities that such a great winery needs. We designed a large barn-type building with rustic board and batten exterior that has native wainscot on the walls, stone base columns, and a large ranch-style porch. The first floor of the building boasts a tasting room and a hospitality center which includes modern staff offices, an employee lounge and kitchen, a classroom for nature, vineyard and winery educational purposes, and a modern laboratory, shipping and receiving department. The upper level of this winery contains a lounge with a large native stone fireplace, beautiful large wood post-and-beam framing for the structured vaulted ceiling, open framing of the roof, and Celestory windows for natural light. On this luxury level there are eight comfortable private guest suites, a large 25-seat dining room, and a commercial kitchen for tasty culinary delights. Click here to view an excerpt of the project. 6997 - Lake Escape Resort, Clearlake Lake Escape Resort is a property consisting of 19 small cabins with boating facilities, pool, picnic areas, and beach areas on Clear Lake. The task was to obtain approval to reclassify the status of the cabins and redesign them into a resort condominium subdivision with 25 ground units, 8 two-story units and 1 basement unit. Existing cabins are being remodeled with new kitchen units, second level units are being added to other existing cabins, and new cabins are being built, all with the architectural charm and simplicity of resort life on the lake. Click here to view an excerpt of the project. 6335 - John Dooley Residence, Half Moon Bay John Dooley’s residence is a fine example of some of the residential addition design work that we are capable of here at Ruzicka Associates. John Dooley had a splendid small home that he loved but needed to expand to accommodate the expansion of family and create more room for friends. Additional bedrooms and bathrooms were designed to connect to the existing home and garage as if they had been built there originally. Click here to view an excerpt of the project. 6474 - Langtry Office and Warehouse, Middletown Langtry Estate & Vineyard’s existing operations offices were housed in a metal warehouse and the client wanted a Master Plan to expand the offices and add additional facilities. The Master Plan expanded the existing offices and incorporated an event center and a new covered entry with stone columns, trellises, and lots of natural light to the lobby. Also included were classrooms that double as banquet rooms and a commercial kitchen for events.
